About Eraytees

This is not a brand.
It is a belief.

A belief that the experience of becoming a parent deserves more than generic content, surface-level reassurance, and advice that assumes a version of pregnancy that does not match the real one.

Somewhere in the world, right now, a woman is going through one of the most significant things a human being can go through. And she is doing it without the words for what she is feeling. Eraytees exists to give her those words.

The hopeful expectant ones

Where It Began

It started with a conversation nobody was having.

Pregnancy is one of the most written-about human experiences on the planet. And yet somehow, the honest version of it, the anxious version, the lonely version, the financially frightening version, the version where the bond does not arrive on cue, remains chronically underserved.

The books that exist tend toward the clinical or the saccharine. The apps give you weekly fruit comparisons. The social media shows the glow without the grief. And the woman sitting with something she cannot name has nowhere to put it.

Eraytees was built because that woman deserved a place to put it. And because the conversation she needed was not happening anywhere else with the honesty and warmth it required.

The most common thing women say in the first weeks of motherhood is: I wish someone had told me. Eraytees is the someone who tells you. Before you need it. While there is still time to absorb it.

The Eraytees founding belief

The Name

Eraytees. The hopeful expectant ones.

The name Eraytees carries three ideas inside it. Each one is essential to what this brand is and who it was built for.

Era.

A significant season. A chapter that changes everything that comes after it. Becoming a parent is not a moment. It is an era. The brand acknowledges the weight of that.

Ray.

Light through difficulty. Hope that chooses itself in spite of the fear. The ray of something good breaking through a season that can feel overwhelming before it becomes extraordinary.

Tees.

The plural. The community. Not one woman navigating this alone but all of them, everywhere, at every stage, held together by the shared experience of what it means to become.

Why We Exist

Four reasons this brand had to be built.

01

Because the anxiety deserved a name.

Matrescence. The psychological transformation of becoming a mother. A word that exists in the research and is almost completely absent from the conversation. Every woman going through it deserved to know it was real, documented, and survivable.

02

Because the bond does not always arrive on cue.

Approximately one in three mothers do not feel an immediate connection with their baby at birth. The silence around this leaves women feeling broken. They are not broken. They are in a process. That process needed to be named and supported.

03

Because the financial gap is real and nobody talks about it honestly.

The income drop during maternity leave is the largest single financial disruption most women experience. It arrives without most of them having had a specific, practical conversation about what to do about it. That conversation needed to exist.

04

Because the partner's experience is chronically invisible.

The helplessness, the peripheral feeling, the different timeline of bonding, the fear that is rarely permitted to be expressed. Partners are not bystanders in this story. Their experience deserved the same level of honest attention.

The Eraytees Promise

Every guide in this collection was written to be the honest conversation that pregnancy needs and rarely gets.

Not the conversation that makes you feel better immediately. The one that makes you actually ready. Not the reassurance that everything will be fine. The information and the language that means you can handle it whether it is fine or not.

How We Write

The principles behind every word.

Eraytees has a voice that is consistent across everything it publishes. These are the principles that shape it.

Honest before reassuring.

Eraytees does not tell you everything will be fine. It tells you what is actually happening, what the research says, and what you can actually do about it. Honesty is the foundation. Warmth is the delivery method. Never the other way around.

Warm without being saccharine.

There is a version of maternal content that is so relentlessly positive it becomes its own kind of dismissal. Eraytees does not do that. The warmth here comes from being taken seriously, not from being told everything is beautiful when it is not.

Research-grounded. Always.

Every claim in every guide is grounded in documented research or acknowledged as a framework. Where academic work is cited, it is cited correctly. The guides are written for a general audience but they are built on a solid evidence base.

Global by design.

Eraytees was built for the woman anywhere in the world who is going through this. Every resource referenced is internationally accessible. Every framework applies regardless of country, income, or circumstance. Nobody is written out of this conversation.

What We Are Not

Clarity is part of the brand.

Not a medical authority

A deeply informed, warmly delivered companion that knows when to point you toward professional support and does so clearly.

Not a financial adviser

A guide with significant knowledge of personal finance that gives you the frameworks, the questions, and the clarity to have better conversations with the professionals who are.

Not a replacement for therapy

A resource that normalises seeking it. That removes the stigma. That names what you are experiencing clearly enough that you can walk into a professional relationship already understanding your own situation.

Not for one kind of family

Built for single parents, couples, same-sex partnerships, blended families, and every other version of a growing family. The experience of becoming is universal. The support should be too.

Hopeful.

The hopeful expectant ones.
That is who this is for. That is who we are.

Every woman carrying something she did not fully anticipate. Every partner trying to find their place in a story that is still being written. Every family in the beautiful, frightening middle of becoming something new.

A Note From Eraytee Dawn

To everyone who has ever read an Eraytees guide at 3am.

You did not find this brand by accident. You found it because you were looking for something that would take your experience seriously. I want you to know that it does. Every word in every guide was written with you specifically in mind.

Not the curated version of you. Not the glowing, grateful, Instagram-ready version. The actual version. The one sitting with something she cannot name at an hour when the rest of the world is asleep. The one doing the financial calculations on a Tuesday night and feeling the weight of the numbers. The one who looked at her baby and waited for the feeling everyone promised and felt something more complicated than that.

Eraytees exists because that woman deserved a place to be seen. Not managed. Not reassured into silence. Seen. With honesty and warmth and the specific, grounded information that makes a real difference.

The name Eraytees carries a belief inside it. That this season you are in, however hard, however beautiful, however far from what you expected, is one worth being fully present for. That the hopeful expectant ones, all of you, everywhere, at every stage, are not alone in this.

You were made for this season. And this brand was made for you.
